Rules apply to all accepted or backup workers.

We expect the workers using the Bacon platform to only apply to shifts they are truly interested in and work. Withdrawing late or No Showing for shifts can severely damage a worker's reputation and future opportunity to be accepted to jobs. Bacon has rules and suspensions connected to late withdrawals and no showing for shifts. These are outlined below and are part of Bacon's Strike Policy.

Any combination of the items below will lead to suspension from the platform.

Late Withdrawals

  • Withdrawing within 12hours of the shift starting. This applies to both accepted workers, as well as backup workers.
    • 1st Late Withdrawal - no penalty
    • 2nd Late Withdrawal - 30-day suspension from the platform
    • 3rd Late Withdrawal - 1-year suspension from the platform

(you will be removed from all shifts you were accepted to and you will not be able to apply to shifts during any of the above suspensions)

There are NO penalties for withdrawing if you are in "Pending" status.

No Show

Not showing up to work a shift results in severe consequences! Companies reserve the right to mark you as a no show if you show up even just 1 minute late.

  • 1st No Show = 30-day suspension
  • 2nd No Show = 1-year suspension

(you will be removed from all shifts you were accepted to and you will not be able to apply to shifts during any of the above suspensions)

Please withdraw before the 12 hour deadline if you cannot make your shift, to avoid being marked a No Show.

In the case of an emergency, follow the instructions in our article titled What to do if you have an emergency.

No Shows are reset yearly.
